iPad Pro 2 Latest Rumours and Release Date

While we completely adore NDBD AU's high-quality on hand refurbished iPads, it would be hard to ignore the fact that the much-awaited iPad Pro 2 is about to make its debut. With its attractive new design and cutting-edge features, there's no stopping the Apple iPad Pro 2017 from being this year's tablet hotshot. And though the new iPad Pro is soon to be launched, we wouldn't mind basking in its rumoured qualities one more time before its big day.

The iPad Pro 2 release date has yet to be confirmed and Apple remains to be silent on the matter. You can’t rely on Apple's track record of iPad release dates either. Unlike the iPhone, which is usually launched on the month of September, the iPad launch dates have fluctuated throughout the years and doesn't seem to follow any pattern as you can see on the list below:

  • Apple iPad (1st Generation): April 2010
  • Apple iPad 2: March 2011
  • Apple iPad 3: March 2012
  • Apple iPad 4 and iPad Mini 1: November 2012
  • Apple iPad Air and iPad Mini 2: November 2013
  • Apple iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3: October 2014
  • Apple iPad Mini 4: September 2015
  • Apple iPad Pro (12.9-inch): November 2015
  • Apple iPad Pro (9.7-inch): March 2016
  • Apple iPad (9.7-inch) and iPad mini 4 (128 GB): March 2017

Does this mean we've got no hint on the iPad Pro 2 release date? Of course not. With all the rumours and speculations floating about on the web, we can't possibly be clueless. On this bit, we'll let you in on the scoop along with the latest leaks on design, the powerful new processor and the other impressive features of the next iPad Pro 2.

iPad Pro 2 Design

Word around town is that we can expect the iPad Pro to come in 3 sizes this year--a 12.9-inch, 9.7-inch, and a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro. However, most rumours primarily revolve around the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro, which is said to boast a resolution of 2224x1668, with a pixel density of 264ppi (similar to the current 9.7-inch iPad Pro). Despite a larger display, the iPad Pro 2 is likely to sport an ultrathin bezel with the possibility of a narrowed (or even eliminated) bottom bezel. This is essentially due to the changes Apple is making with the physical home button.

iPad Pro 2 Processor

Apple's speedy processors are unbeatable, especially the iPads. The iPad Pro 2 is no different. In fact, it is rumoured to introduce a more cutting-edge technology with the next-generation processor –the A10X. It's said to be faster and way more powerful than the A9X and a beefed-up version of the A10 currently powering the iPhone 7 line.

Apple Pencil 2.0

Apple is preparing to launch a stylus like no other with the iPad Pro 2, according to an Apple insider. Whispers of the Apple Pencil 2.0 to be the most innovative stylus may be spot on. It could allow creation of detailed digital images with its various brush and pen attachments. One patent also shows a sensor on the non-writing end, which may be indicative of an eraser. Additionally, the Apple Pencil 2 is said to magnetically attach to the iPad and comes equipped with a pen clip for safe placement.

iPad Pro 2 Release Date

As mentioned earlier, Apple has been silent on the launch date of the new iPad Pro. However, rumours that have been going around the web suggest the unveiling of the much-awaited iPad to be sooner than we think. According to a veteran analyst, there's a strong chance of the iPad Pro 2 being announced at the Worldwide Developer's Conference this June 2017.

Other rumoured features include the next version of Apple's operating system –the iOS 11, a 12-megapixel iSight camera with True Tone Flash, True Tone displays, four speakers , four microphones and Lighting and smart connectors to name a few.

These reports and speculations are but a few teasers, with the main event to come in possibly a few short days. Hang in there! We'll keep you posted.
